Had quite an enjoyable dinner with family. An unusual setting, a south indian ( Kerela) restaurant in a pub. I think it is more a take away place. The team ( more a one man show) was very welcoming. Food was quite good. We had chicken 65 and gobi both were a 4.5/5. For mains the fish pollichuttu was very good. The kizhi parrota was not to our taste. Kerela parotta was a bit dry and did not taste fresh. Malabar beef was very good. Chicken briyani not bad. Good lime and soda but took an age to arrive. Service was with a smile ... read more
We waited for amlost 2 hours to get the food. Very bad service
I would have rated this place 4.5 if there was an option. Thavi's restaurant is located inside the Wheel Inn at Oadby. Parking at the adjacent car park is free if you dine here - please remember to enter the registration number at the counter. Thavis offers an excellent spread of authentic Kerala cuisine. The staff were friendly. We ordered pal Kappa, chicken curry, chicken, and beef kizhi porotta. All the dishes were very good. We would definitely be visiting again!
We really enjoyed the delicious food delivered by Thavis at our Homexuk office. We were looking for Onam Sadhya to be delivered, and as soon as we placed the request, Thavis responded quickly. Despite having bookings on 14th and 15th, they agreed to deliver Onam Sadhya for our staff. It was a wonderful service with delicious food, well packed, and we truly enjoyed it.
