We had hired James for our August 2025 wedding. He is a friend of my husband so we thought we could trust him and we paid the full fee up front. Then we didn't hear from him again. When it was less than 2 months out I decided to hire another DJ as I was not sure if James was going to show up or not. We still have not received a penny of our money back. Definitely do not recommend him for any event, but especially not for something as important as a once in a lifetime wedding.
James really does live up to his title! He was a great DJ for our wedding and he really helped to make it a great party. His setup was great, and he really went the extra mile to make sure the party kept on going! He even helped me do a little extra audio for my wedding speech, and I really appreciated him adding that extra help in when he was already very busy during the wedding high season. I would 100% recommend That Awesome DJ Guy for not only a wedding but any event. Thank you James!
James was the DJ/MC at our wedding last October 27,2023 at the UBC Boathouse. Our guests were all impressed with his hosting skills. He knows how to engage and entertain the crowd, and we especially enjoyed his jokes. With James’ extensive experience as a DJ, he kept our dance floor alive all night long. Not only is James a great DJ and MC, he is also a kind and respectful person. I would definitely recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or any other event.
We hired James for our wedding in December at Fraser River Lodge and unfortunately did not have the best experience. Leading up to the wedding we enjoyed his online portal for planning our song selection and had good communication right up until the day before…less than 24 hours before the wedding he phoned the bride trying to cancel and asked what our “snow plan” was (the forecast was calling for 2-7cm).
