A Wonderful Onam Sadhya Experience! We had a wonderful time enjoying the Onam Sadhya hosted by the Châteauguay Malayali Association. The delicious Sadhya was prepared by Thanjai Restaurant, Montreal, and the food was truly authentic, fresh, and full of traditional Kerala flavours. I ordered 2 masala dosas today; Dosas were eatable/average. Masala was really bland and my baby enjoyed it really well as it was a good replacement for his baby food. The red chutney was good and had strong flavour to it. Sambar was watery but tasted nice but would’ve been better with less water. Value: for $25(for 2 Masala dosas), I really expected something better. The traditional Kerala Onam Sadhya was very delicious. The quantity and quality of the food was awesome. Thank you manager Kumar and Chef Thomas for the exceptional recipes.
I had the privilege of enjoying the Onasadya prepared for the Onam celebrations organized by the Châteauguay Malayali Association. The dishes prepared by Mr. Thomas from Tanjai Restaurant were incredibly delicious and had an authentic Kerala taste. A special thanks to Mr. Thomas and Tanjai Restaurant for providing such an excellent feast.
Food was not bad, but the service was extremely disappointing. The chilli chicken was served first, then we had to wait for the ghee rice, and after another wait, the biriyani finally arrived. Why not serve the dishes together so the guests can actually enjoy the meal properly? What made it even more frustrating was seeing the staff busy making review videos during peak hours while guests were waiting for their food.
