My family has been dining at Thai Tamarind for years. It is a comfortable place to return to where everyone has a favourite menu item and the food is always reliably yummy. Service is very warm and thoughtful. It is usually buzzing on weekends and weekday lunch hours, a little quieter on weeknights. They seem to have many regulars and also do a brisk take-out business. The menu offers us vegetarians a lot of choice. We really appreciate their thoughtful questions about whether eggs, fish sauce are okay or need to be omitted.
It was a nice surprise finding this Restaurant in Belmont.. having a day trip here to Hillsdale Shopping Mall.. we decided to try Thai Tamarind Restaurant.. great atmosphere, very friendly Challa.. the owner of the Restaurant and very delicious and authentic Thai Cuisine.. my friend and I both enjoyed the the food in front of us.. fried fish cake, crisp papaya salad, milky (coconut) Panang beef, shrimp pad seew, pad gra pow/ chicken with basil and fried snapper with sweet n sour sauce on the side… highly recommended.. we are... read more
Spicy red curry with mixed vegetables is amazing. I also enjoy the eggplant basil w tofu. My kid likes their pad see yew. Sweetest service. Food is so fragrant and fresh and not too sweet.
The dry sukiyaki is so flavorful. Many of my friends say this is the best Thai place in the bay.
Worst service and worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Don’t go here.
