Thai Basil combines flavor, aroma, and presentation for a wonderful dining experience, half a world away from the traditional Thai restaurant. Inspired by James Beard featured Chef and Le Cordon Bleu alumni, Chef Eddie Thretipthuangsin, he and his brother, Peter Yamyoo, have teamed up to bring the modernist technique and a deconstructed approach to create a foundational Thai menu with a European influence. Thai Basil's ambiance is warm, casual and inviting - fine dining in the heart of Manchester, Vermont. A superior wine li... read more

I'm Thai and visit VT regularly, in the winter for skiing and summer for tennis. We always make it a point to eat here once a visit. While some dishes are a bit Westernized, the flavors are good, and they will adjust the spice level to your liking. Some of the servers are Thai, which is not always the case at Thai restaurants. Hard to compete with Thai places in Manhattan and Queens, but for a restaurant in small town VT, it's great.
The service and ambiance were great, and the restaurant seemed quite popular. I personally enjoyed the food, though it wasn’t quite to my family’s taste. The meat in some dishes could have been more tender and flavorful for an even better experience.
Best place to seat in Manchester. Make a reservation
Extremely expensive and overtaxed us. Vermont state tax is 7 percent at most but we got 10$ on tax on a 99 dollar bill. Food is incredibly mid
Very good food but the only con is that they don’t come around with refill waters as they should. The staff are great and the food comes out quick. The fried rice is the best part as well as veggie spring rolls. They are absolutely delicious! If you need something to eat, it is right across the street from Christos pizza but this Thai food is much better and has plenty of options.
