Tucked into the historic district of New Bern, Thai Angel is a quaint gem with great vibes and, hands down, the best Thai food in the area. We make the drive from Emerald Isle just for it, it’s the rare spot that nails both authentic flavor and thoughtful vegetarian options. I recommend the Drunken Noodles and the Thai Ice Tea and the sticky rice mango or dessert. Street parking can be an issue at during the weekend.
Great introduction to Thai food. It was my wife's first time, and the spice and flavor level were just right for her taste. I felt the Pad Thai was less rich than most places, but the veggies and noodles were fresh, and by the last bite, I had no issues with my meal. The appetizers were all cooked to perfection with a great batter and dip to accompany the calamari. The service was excellent. I would recommend eating in; the online menu did not have an option for spice level.
Fantastic Thai place. I spent 2 months in Thailand last year and the curry here is honestly better. Great staff. Fast service. 5 stars 💫
