We are from NY, right above NYC. We know what Thai food is supposed to tast like and we love it! We eat at Thai 55 every year we come down for work. We are treated like family and the food is delicious! We ordered soup; Tom Ka, and Tom Yum soups with shrimp, pad Thai, Massamam curry with duck--it was amazing. I ordered Thai iced tea and the corner gave us mango with sticky rice. The flavor, the spices used the service were beyond our expectations. Absolutely love this hidden gem! Have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The owner is friendly, generous, and accommodating to dietary requests. The food is consistently good and portion sizes are great. If you love Thai food then this place is a must try!
I don’t know why it’s only rated 4.3 stars….I had a 5 star experience tonight! My husband took me out there tonight for dinner around 8:30 (on a Friday night) and it was my first time there. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves minus the occassional takeout order. A warm, friendly man named TJ greeted us and sat us down. I also watched the way he greeted each customer who came in for takeout regardless of how they were dressed, etc…he treated them all like family.
