Arrived today for first radiation treatment. Arrived punctually at 12:00 PM, completed all required prepping. 45 minutes later in tiny waiting room with every seat full no one at front desk communicated with any patients. Noticed front desk person focused on her cell phone and not the patients Completely understand if the radiation department is running behind, but here is an innovative idea, how about sharing that when a patient checks in, total lack of communication and empathy for patients. My experience with Dr Engelman and his entire staff is above and beyond anything I could have expected. Without an appointment, Dr Engelman made time in his schedule to see me based upon a referral. By the time I drove from St Petersburg to Tampa, Dr Engelman had reviewed my test results and had assured me that he was extremely confident he could address my issue.
