Their 'referral team' initially gave me completely wrong instructions about which doctor could issue a referral, so that I could see an orthopedic doctor there. The phone person said that my pain management doctor could do the referral...wrong information! This little mistake delayed my ability to see an orthopedic by at least a week. A week is a long time. Their referral team initially gave me completely wrong instructions about which doctor could issue a referral. The phone person said that my pain management doctor could do the referral...wrong information! This little mistake delayed my ability to see an orthopedic by at least a week. I had to back pedal and make an appointment with my PCP, because he is the correct person to issue a referral. Delayed medically necessary treatment due to incompetence is unacceptable. I have seen Dr. Kevin Smith for my trigger thumb, which was corrected with surgery. I have seen Dr. Alexander Nguyen for a sprained ankle & I have had shots for my knee & therapy for my knee in the past also. I am happy to say that with the x-ray at my appointment on this part Wednesday, my ankle was not broken but just badly sprained. I trust the Dr.'s here & have never had any issues with the service or billing.

We were told there would be no follow up x-ray because it “would not determine if [my child] could return to th... read more

I don't have any insight to the criteria individuals use to provide their reviews, but I will disclose my experience(s) to provide insight for those who find all these positive reviews as meritorious in seeking medical treatment. In short, there comes a time when an entity/business becomes so large that you have no significance nor value beyond your DRG or insurance reimbursement. Such is my assessment, based on my experience, with Texas Orthopedic Sports Medicine. We are all cattle, nothing more than carbon-based protoplasm... read more
