Full head radiation, 10 rounds was given to a 83 year old woman, my grandmother. If I knew then what I've learned now. These doctors dont know what the hell they're doing. Dr Aloba Dr Han. To top if off can do so much better with educating on how servere not only chemo therapy can be but as well as radiation. My grandmother for being in her 80s only had back pain. Always have good communication and listen to me and give me guidance throughout my process
I was advised to receive gamma knife surgery for a pituitary tumor and learned the side effects of the procedure which were more harmful than helpful. I felt like the treatment was too extreme and ask for second opinion with the Mayo Clinic. The neurosurgeon there advised me that they do not treat pituitary tumors with gamma knife surgery. It is always best to seek for a second opinion!
