Was in a Critical Incident where I shot a wanted fugitive and the fugitive shot me. They provided a lawyer in a reasonable time, and the lawyer was great. However, after my Garrity statement was given and after I wrote my police report for the Rangers that was the last of the help I got. All the frivolous lawsuits the suspect filed, TMPA was nowhere to be seen to help. Had them from 2014-2019 I needed them for a prior issue with my old department. They decided not to help even though it was a judgement they assist me with. I would not recommend them they only care about slam dunk cases and could care less. Now they are speaking against reserves officers.
