Visited them at the on the water boat show on lake Conroe 4/22/17. I asked about a being taken out on a demo and was told come back tomorrow. The sales people weren't busy with other customers and there were boats going in and out of the water the entire time I was looking at their sales area. There is no way I'll drop 80k on a boat with a lazy sales team. The other boat sale companies were more than happy to take me out for a demo.
My compliments to Jason and the Texas Marine dealership. I had not used a consignment program to sell my boat, like Texas Marine, but I was very pleased with the entire process. I simply told the guys what I wanted to receive for my boat and they said "I think I can work that out." Next thing I know I am receiving my check from Texas Marine, this week, as promised. I am not surprised that this dealership has been so successful for so many years in the Houston area. I wish them many more successful years ahead.
My personal experience in buying a boat, I search for almost six-months, while I visited many dealers in Houston, Spring, Tomball and Conroe. And talked to too many sales representative from all types of dealers, I finally ran into Texas Marine of Conroe, first I ran into Don, awesome person, gives out the details, answers your questions, and NOT pushing what so ever. We were NOT given all the details up front such as "time frame on test drive, approval and delivery". We were told to pick a boat and set up a test drive. I called the day before to confirm that is when he tells me we need $500 down to drive.so we gave him the money and had to reschedule. We take off work to test drive and when I call again to confirm he asked if we had gotten approval from a bank? No talk of approval was mentioned before we could test drive the boat. This company was highly responsive to my needs as a customer. I was completely impressed and highly satisfied with the preparation of my unit. We had a slight issue with the trailer, which they diligently resolved. These guys took their time in going over every aspect of my new boat purchase, including warranties and maintenance. My experience with Texas Marine was not great. The first thing that happened was the new boat presented at delivery was not as ordered and told the boat we wanted would take longer and cost more. The second thing was the boat cover had been wadded up wet, muddy and torn in a storage compartment. They fixed the cover with two patches of a different color. I agree buying a boat is a big move. BUT, its the after the sale and service that 'pegs the meter'. My comment is the Service Dept, starting with Chad up the the manager John, are absolutely outstanding. I did not buy my boat from them, and they were readily available and happy to help me. This should go a long way when I buy my next boat. I recommend their service above ANY service dept in the boating industry. M.R.
