This is the worst center to take your loved one to. If you live in the city, ambulance crews will want to take your loved one there (because it's easier, though they'll claim it's because of the trauma facilities). Refuse that. Tell them you want to go Harris SW or another center. It's like a refugee camp and nobody knows anything there. Nobody can help you. Got into a car accident. Some nurses will actively hurt you to get what they want. Can't roll over because your pelvis is broken? The nurse will ignore you and flip you on the x ray machine. I had to slap her hands, yell, and threaten to call it quits if they kept ignoring me. They tell me to ask for pain meds as needed, only to force you to beg for your meds because they won't give them. I asked for my hydrocodone and she came back with a Valium to help me sleep. REALLY?! Never had an issue here until today. The security up front was incredibly rude from thefirst time I went up there to ask for help for a wheelchair. The nurses were kind and helpful, whoever the doctor was that helped my mother seemed arrogant and was just smirking the whole time and I saw him roll his eyes as she was in pain. On the way out I asked the security up front a question and of course answered with attitude so I called him out for it. Currently here with my spouse. I should have left and took him to Baylor or JPS. These nurses so busy talking about personal shit out there instead of taking care of patients. My husband in here in pain, no one came in the room till he started throwing up. Then they send him in pain to sonogram instead of giving him his meds first. Just inconsiderate and need to find a new profession. No empathy from staff, hospital nasty patients hallways, and now he’s back from sonogram over 30 minutes and still no pain meds or nothing to ... read more
