Texas discovery garden This place is a bit hard to find, but then again, so is everything in downtown. I had my senior prom here recently and I loved the way that it was decorated. My prom was in one of the banquet halls and I believe it was in the middle of the garden. It's a very romantic place, especially at night when all of the lights are lit up. PROS: beautiful, romantic CONS: location

Gardens and butterflies Gardens in the middle of Dallas. I first found out about the TExas Discovery Garden when we went to the state fair of Texas. They are at the state fair grounds and you can actually go thru the gardens while the fair is going on. They have some very unique plants and have little cards explaining what they are. They also have a building with more plants and a waterfall. The butterfly habitat is worth the trip and the money because it is neat to see all the butterflies flying around. Parking is easy to f... read more

Nature Texas Discovery Garden is located in Fair Park. Their are several beautiful gardens located here. My favorite time to go is in the spring and fall when most things are in bloom. The two-story tropical conservatory and a waterfall are some other special things that are featured here as well. This is a beautiful place to come and enjoy nature at its best. You might even find that the kids would like it too, the views are breath taking here.
