DODDA diagnosed me with a life threatening disease on the paperwork without telling me or anyone explaining it! No additional paperwork stating which form and when I called to ask they said to wait for the doctor to call me and if im feeling weird or in pain go to the er "DONT WAIT" now im more nervous and I have to wait for someone to call me!!
I was asked to see how quickly I could get in to see Dr. Faroqi per my PCP. Due to new symptoms appearing, it was suggested to me to see if they can squeeze me in earlier. They weren't open yet, so I left a message with the answering service. The receptionist called and asked for more medical details then decided these symptoms aren't relevant. I don't believe she's medically qualified to do over-the-phone assessments.
Today I visited Texas Gastro for a new patient appointment with Dr. Amar Dodda. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. From the moment Dr. Dodda introduced himself, he appeared rushed and impatient. While I am not new to seeing gastroenterologists, I am new to this practice and felt it was important to briefly share my medical history, including prior procedures and medications, in order to establish care. Office does not answer their phones, anytime, ever. I almost died during an endoscopy last week and they cannot even answer their phones. Really crazy Update: I've called 41 times with no answer in the past 2 weeks. Do not go here unless there is no ther options.
