On a Sunday, the doctor on call had no clue what to do for a poisonous spider bite. He did nothing!!! By Sunday night I was in a lot of pain. By Monday, when I phoned my PCP, he was mad that they had not given me a steroid shot. My PCP called in a prescription immediately. If you need to go to an ER, you might pick a different ER than the one in Houston, MO.

Sent my father who was in agony away. Had to be driven to Springfield for treatment.

SLOW!!! If there's three people ahead of you expect to be there for 7 hours plus.

Take your chances somewhere else. There is something wrong with this Dr. Donald P Schaefer in the ER besides his attitude and bedside manner. Ive never been treated this way by a Healthcare professional. Smart mouth and of no help at all. Left the ER to find help elsewhere. His ratings are very low everywhere he has been, bounced from hospital to hospital. It's of no surprise that he can't keep a job.
