Forever Grateful – I suffered for 20 years with debilitating PMS symptoms; severe pain with menses, neck and back pain, headaches, insomnia, irritability and anxiety, all related to an imbalance in my hormones. Doctors' recommendations never helped so, I turned to TCRA for Acupunture as a last resort. Being an RN and trained in traditional Western medicine, I was sceptical as to how or if Acupunture could actually help. Well, it DID! After only a few treatments, I was able to sleep without sleeping pills, my headaches and pain in my neck were gone, I took no more pain medications during my periods and my irritability and anxiety had decreased significantly. Thank you TCRA for helping me, I am forever greatful!

Oops! Im pregnant again! – I have already left one review regarding my amazing experience at TCRA. I was infertile for 4 years (PCOS and allegedly low sperm count) and became pregnant 3 months into my acupuncture services. What I never expected was I am now pregnant again without acupuncture, without drugs, without even trying!!! An "OOPS A BABY!!!" I never thought that could happen to me! Whatever TCRA does they do it to LAST! If you want to proceed in your battle against infertility in a natural and holistic way I would greatly encourage you to seek the help of TCRA.

Amazing – I had wanted to try acupuncture for a while but had been scared, a miscarriage led me to Texas Fertility Acupuncture and it has turned out to be one of the best health decisions I made. They helped me feel ""normal"" after the miscarriage, helped me through a gallbladder attack and surgery, helped me after I got pregnant again and experienced a number of side effects and anxiety, they helped me after the birth of my son with breastfeeding issues, energy levels and hormone normalization. And when the time comes, they'll be able to help me through menopause too :)
If you have any sort of health issue, relating to fertility or maybe outside of that in pain management etc., you owe it to yourself to call them and at least talk about it. If they aren't the right people to help you, you can have confidence in whoever they refer you to.
The needles don't hurt, and some of the relaxation and anxiety spots Kirsten hit for me were more powerful than any drug but totally natural.
I even got relief from major allergy attacks and sinus pressure during treatment, they'd put needles in and instantly I could feel my sinus draining and could breathe. Every single person, front office and acupuncturist, is kind and compassionate and truly listens to what you are saying to them.
There are no guarantees you'll get pregnant... but the statistics show it sure helps, and you'll be in the best health of your life, mental and physical, and you are worth that (and what better way to be ready for a new baby should it happen?!)

Hope at TCRA – My husband and I celebrated six years of marriage this year. After the first year, we started talking about children. We both have a love for children. We saw ourselves being parents one day. We all thought it would be an easy journey, but it hasn’t been for us.
After a year of trying, and no luck, we were devastated that it wasn’t happening to us. Each month was unsuccessful and we started to think something was wrong. I wanted peace and comfort because I began to hurt so much. I was suffering so much inside. I was always so sad, and at the end of the month, I would cry every time it didn’t work.
After four years of trying, we were still struggling with infertility. I wanted healing to ease the suffering. We tried the ""high tech"" route, medications, shots, inseminations, IVF and two surgeries, which every attempt was unsuccessful. We were tired and lost. I had unexplained infertility, which means doctors cannot find a cause for the failure to get pregnant. I was devastated and my body was showing it.
There were days that I felt that it wasn’t worth fighting but I had hope. I was searching for hope. One day I was on the Internet and I came across The Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture. I was so impressed with the website and we made our first appointment. At our first appointment, we met with Kirsten Karchmer, I explained to her our situation and that the last two years have been exhausting. Our first appointment was the opposite. We are just looking for some hope and she gave that to us that day. I finally felt some peace in this crazy time. We had been longing for this and we knew we found a place where it was going to get better. TCRA is a business that brings so much happiness to people like us. We were excited about this new adventure and very hopeful for the future. She made us feel so important and dedicated her time to us. She assured to us that she would go to bat for us 100% to take amazing care of us and she and her team has done that and more. She put us on a plan specifically for us that involved weekly acupuncture, herbs and dietary changes. She also wanted us to begin to track my basal body temperature.
We continued to travel to San Antonio for our weekly acupuncture appointments. This is where we met Rob Krassowski. We have completed 2 packages of acupuncture and on our third one. We have enjoyed it much. Rob has been great very informative and hopeful. He is extremely educated in this field. He has been exceptionally understanding in our situation. He has helped with my stress and energy levels. The anxiety and depression associated with fertility challenges have been decreasing tremendously. My allergies and digestion have improved under his care. My overall well-being has improved impressively. I look forward to every weekly appointment we have with him. It has been so peaceful and relaxing. Not only could I tell that I was better because I felt great but my basal body temperatures were improving as well.
We did receive a true miracle. We actually succeeded to get pregnant the natural way without any drugs or medical intervention; But with the help of TCRA. Sadly enough, we did lose the baby at 7 weeks; but I was still able to conceive. The day I received a positive test was such an amazing day!
During the process of the miscarriage, TCRA was right beside us, making sure we were on our way to healing. We are still healing from this and putting ourselves back together slowly but we know we would not be here today if it was not for the help that TCRA has given us.
We have continued with our battle of not having a child but we have found peace and comfort at TCRA. I would recommend TCRA to anyone who has experienced a fertility challenge. TCRA has given us hope!

Wonderful Experience – I first started seeing Kirsten and her team after 3 miscarriages. Kirsten had me start charting my temperatures and within our first few sessions she could see from my charts that my progesterone was very low. Sure enough the doctor called a few days later to confirm her suspicions. I was also diagnosed with borderline PCOS. Through the use of herbs, diet changes and acupuncture we started to see a difference in my charts and my temperatures got closer to the ideals. Kirsten was confident that the next time I got pregnant I would carry to term.
A few months later, I got my positive pregnancy test. I continued acupuncture throughout the first 12 weeks and I am still pregnant at 15 weeks!!
I can not say enough about Kirsten. She is a positive person who is extremely knowledgable about fertility. She has wonderful suggestions and she provides unparalleled support. I thoroughly enjoyed my treatments and found they provided me with a calmness that I couldn't find elsewhere in those first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Even when I had doubts she assured me that this pregnancy would be different.
If you are trying to make a decision about seeking acupuncture treatment for a fertility issue, I highly recommend you go for it.

Incredibly Competent and Compassionate – I am currently 42 and I have tried IUI and IVF in the past with no success. During our first meeting, I was impressed to learn that Kirsten gathers data to chart her patient’s progress – something other acupuncturists I had seen did not do. In my second month of treatment, when grew frustrated and I worried I was too old to conceive, Kirsten was assuring and optimistic. Three months into my acupuncture treatments and I was overjoyed to find myself pregnant.
However, having suffered miscarriages in the past, I was worried that my pregnancy wouldn’t progress. Understanding my fears, Kirsten and Rob have been so supportive, empathic, and patient with me every step of the way.
With their help, my pregnancy is progressing well and my husband and I are hopeful that we will finally have the child we’ve been hoping and praying for.
I highly recommend Kirsten and her team to anyone needing help realizing their dream of a family.

Such a blessing – I have had endocrine issues for more than seven years, since my daughter was born. Thyroid problems that can?t seem to be controlled despite many appointments with my endocrinologist, and then in the past few years PCOS problems that doctors didn?t want to fully diagnose because I lacked one of the five markers they use. In addition to not being able to get pregnant for seven months, I really wanted to try something new to help my overall health issues. I decided to try acupuncture and it has been nothing short of absolutely remarkable. Amazing and shocking how it helped me so much and so quickly. I found TCRA and they were kind, supportive and understanding in a way my doctors never were. They completely understood my issues and knew how to treat me with acupuncture and herbs. They also had lots of helpful advice for supplements, nutrition and other tips. I started to feel better after two treatments. I had more energy and that thyroid mental fog was a bit better. I decided that I wanted to focus on treatment of my overall issues rather than continue to be so very stressed and consumed with getting pregnant. My husband and I were on the cusp of the doctor sending us for fertility tests and treatments and we didn?t want to start down that road. I noticed amazing results and after two months I went in for an appointment and they asked what day of my cycle I was on. I counted on my calendar and froze. I was six days later than ever before and hadn?t realized it because I decided to stop focusing on it. The acupuncturist looked at me wide eyed and said we should take a test to be sure before she started treatment. I took one right there in the office and it was faintly positive! I tried again the next morning and it was very positive! I was shocked and floored and I know the acupuncture did the trick and saved us from painful, expensive and emotional tests and treatments. I have stayed with it and held on to the pregnancy and so far everything is healthy and going well. I am 5.5 months along and the acupuncture helps with aches, fatigue, swelling, gestational diabetes management, etc. Even when I had a cold, they were able to treat me and I swear the cold disappeared. I was never a believer, but I am now. I will continue this through pregnancy and after so that I can bring my endocrine system back into balance. Even my very skeptical husband is a complete believer in this and keeps telling people the acupuncturist finally got me pregnant! Haha. I am so grateful and appreciative of TCRA. Start here before you go down the infertility testing and treatment road. David is so talented and he amazes me in what he can do. He knows his stuff as does the rest of the staff. The results are amazing.

Try it, it works! – TCRA is a wonderful; I had read really great reviews and decided to give it a try. I really didn’t know what to expect-some weird new age atmosphere, some clinical setting? I was very pleasantly surprised. The San Antonio office is beautiful. It is very comfortable, but everyone is a complete professional and very friendly.
My first appointment was with David. He took our medical history, and thoroughly explained how their treatment works. It was an hour and a half, and by the time it was over, my husband and I were sure we were making the right decision.
I am 41, have had severe PMS symptoms, irregular periods and spotting for years. I have had several miscarriages and had trouble getting pregnant. I also have Bell ’s palsy (I woke up one day and ½ my face was paralyzed), and migraines.
While I’m not pregnant yet, TCRA has completely evened out my cycle. No more PMS, little to no spotting before my cycle, and my basal body temperatures have stabilized. I am very certain, if there is a way I am going to get pregnant, it is with their help.
They have also done wonders for my Bell’s palsy. I see Kirsten the majority of the time, and she is wonderful. When I started coming to TCRA, the left side of my face really drooped, but after coming to TCRA, you don’t even really notice it (unless it is windy outside-as Kirsten explained would happen.) They treat your whole body. I have come in with a back or neck ache, and by the time the treatment is over, it is gone.
I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but I have to let everyone know about an amazing experience I just had at TCRA.
I have been getting severe migraines for about the last 10 years, I have been going to TCRA for almost a year, and the headaches have virtually disappeared. A few Tuesdays ago I had an appointment with Kirsten. On the way (I have a 40 min drive) my head started pounding. I got to the appointment about 20 min. early and felt like I was going to pass out. I sat by the bathroom because I was sure I was going to be ill, it was one of the worst headaches I’ve ever had in my life. Kirsten was able to squeeze me in early; I almost couldn’t walk back to the acupuncture room. Kirsten asked my symptoms and where on my head the pain was, I told her, and she said that she would make me a special shot cup of herbs, and by the time the acupuncture treatment was over, it would be gone. (In my head I said “yeah, right. Maybe it will feel a little better, but be completely gone?).
When the treatment was over, I sat up, and absolutely no more headache!!! I honestly couldn’t believe it. I called everyone I knew to let them know!
I’ve had times when I’ve come to an appointment, and Kirsten will, for example, notice that I was limping. I wouldn’t even be aware of it, I’d get up and walk-I was limping. She would, of course treat it; they are just very aware and observant of every aspect of your body. They also give you nutritional advice based on your symptoms. If you are hesitant to try acupuncture, I urge you to give TCRA a try, the staff is friendly, the needles don’t hurt, and at the end of each session you are completely relaxed, but the best part is, it really works!
