I work at a flight school in Austin and had flown to KACT for a night flight with a student. After we left Waco to return to Austin, an unexpected thunderstorm popped up in the Austin area so we had to divert back to KACT. By the time we got to the FBO it was almost 11 PM and Kyle who works at Texas Aero was fortunately still there. He stayed late, got tie downs for us to use, and filled our plane up.
As a frequent flyer to Waco, I've come to appreciate the convenience and service at Texas Aero at Waco Regional Airport. While it may not have the same scale as Million Air in Austin, Texas Aero offers a welcoming atmosphere for both arrivals and departures. This facility is very clean and is really nice. Has no business having any facility fees with the cruddy service they have here. The staff is just unorganized. We showed up and there crew car was out of fuel, so we had to add fuel just to get to where we were going in town. The front desk was all over the place. We placed a fuel order and when we showed back up to the airport an hour and a half later the airplane still had not been fueled. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get fuel.
