Steer clear scam practices. Surge up to ridiculous rates once contract expires and see how many won’t notice for a couple of months. It’s ok if they leave, we’re signing new victims up for the normal rate at the same time we’re charging 20cents per KWh.

Texans Energy has been a nightmare since I switched. I get disconnect notices on accounts that I do not have. Transferred my neighbors account when I signed up. Neighbor changed back to TXU. Now I get 4 disconnect notices, 1 is for my neighbor, he will be suprised. This company is a joke.

Stop charging 20 cents when contracts expire and the current going rate is less than 10 cents. that's unfair to your customers. You will not be able to survive like this

Signed up at a good rate but somehow my bill is higher than it's ever been in the 4 years I've lived here. Poor customer service. I can't wait to switch...

Got a great rate...for the 3 months I signed up for, but there is no way to check when your rate expires and no notification that it was expiring and I needed to pick a new plan. And once it did, the first 30 days was 2x the price, so I was surprised by a $600 electric bill. Then I immediately switched to a new carrier, but the 18 days accrued in the billing cycle was another $600, because they had increased the price by 3x the original rate! This is a very shady way to do business and I'll never use this company again. Yes,... read more

My rate QUADRUPED the day my contract expired! This should be against the law... There needs to be a 1 week grace period to allow for your electricity to be switched to another provider! I have never had another energy provider jack my rate up to even double, let alone 4X!!! Worst energy provider I have ever had...
