Camping areas are flat and clean. Electric is 50 amp. Water is cold. Wind is bad at certain times of the day. Bring extra rope to tie down your tent or canopy. Showers and bathrooms were atrocious! First the lights don’t work, and dark in the showers. The toilets are lighter, but still dark. Low toilets, impossible for handicapped people to use.
Truly everything is kept pretty clean for my eyes anyway. So nice and quiet (saying this a as current city goir) will definitely be visiting again!
This is a fantastic campground! The 2 drawbacks are the road coming in, although they have filled in some of the pot holes. The other one is the weeds in the sites. It won't keep us from coming though.
We are typically fans of Army Corp of Engineers sites, but this appears to have been abandoned by the CoE. PROS: Nice site overlooking the lake. Not crowded and space between sites. Site has electricity and water (keep reading). CONS: Bathrooms and showers are locked. No camp host or ranger around. The road coming into the recreation are is rough.
