I went and got my hair done on Friday the 22nd and I did not have an appointment which meant that I had to wait. After an hour I finally got washed, detangled and blowdried. The person doing my hair didn’t seem to care about that fact that she was pulling my hair while detangling and on top of that she was combing it dry, I asked if it would break my hair off doing it that way and she said no that you’re supposed to comb your hair when it’s dry. I have taken my 17 year old Niece to TeTe’s twice. The first location was in Vineland, New Jersey and the Box Braids were just okay. The atmosphere could have also been better. The employees and owner are rude and unprofessional. They talk in their language and smirk whenever the Customer shows any signs of dissatisfaction, so it’s obvious that you are the topic of their conversation. If time is important to you, PLEASE READ this post. You make an appointment two weeks in advance and you call the morning of to confirm and you are told they won't be there at the appointed time, but 2 hrs later!!! And when you show up two hrs later, guess what?!!! the shop is still not open nor are the owners present. This is a horrible business practice. Get it together TeTe's African Hairbraiding Shop.
