I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to the entire Berkeley Tesla Service Center team. From the moment I arrived until the very end of my visit, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. They tried to feed me a line, claiming the "walk away" function was turned off; they spent three hours figuring this out and charged me $300.
Stay away from Tesla Berkeley service center. They will not fix your car under warranty. They will make up all these excuses that it’s a normal issue with the loud squeaking sound when you engage Park and Drive. He says some have it and some don’t is his excuse. I have 3 Teslas and they don’t make any loud squeak sound. I have an issue with wind noise and Technician said there was an alignment issue with the window and that’s not covered under the basic warranty.
I have had my model S for 10 years, and truly love the car - best car I’ve ever owned, ever driven, ever even sat in. Not as happy with the service. As a point of reference, years ago I went to the Dublin service center, and had a world class awful experience. Indifferent and incompetent. Since then, I’ve been going to the Berkeley service center, and they’ve been mostly ok. Good enough, nothing to write home about.
