Here is what happened in my case: On August 5th, Wing gave me explicit instructions on handling my Model 3 lease order to secure the California EV incentive. I followed his exact advice. DO NOT TRUST THEM AND DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!! No one mentioned to us that you can lock the price on cars for m 60 days. So I kept pushing the purchase date since I didn’t need it that early but a week later the discounted price was gone… Moreover, they kept asking us to put this car under my partner’s account because he already owns a Tesla so we can get a loyalty discount, but they NEVER mentioned how everything else after gets way more complicated, including insurance and delivery, which created so much hassle for me.
