This charger saved our butts. We forgot to top off our charger in Klamath before looping around Crater Lake and were able to get enough charge here to continue our trip. There’s a beautiful trail nearby along Annie’s Creek that we hiked while the car was charging.
It worked as it should on Mother's day 2025. It could save us from being stranded in the cold. We added a few miles here for safety net and test. There was a park employee orientation in the gift shop, but it wasn't open to the public, so we couldn't go in to use the restroom. I think it was the 1st day of the park season, because they were plowing the parking lot.
Can be a life saver in times of need. There are two level 2 chargers here (Tesla and another J1772 adapter compatible charger) and it's free of cost (yay!)
It gets a 5 star because its in a critical location. I came at 3p, which probably isnt a popular time so I got it without waiting. The hotel at the rim should.have them at least for guests. Would open up the two here for others.
