Beware of this surgeon, if you find it acceptable to be told you will die after being denied surgery by him then please go ahead and continue seeing this man. However if you or someone you love needs a serious surgery and you want them to be treated well, then DONT choose this guy. Ridiculous, unacceptable. You Dr. Holekamp are qualified for surgery not telling the future or judging others.
What he has in surgical ability he lacks in bedside manner. Poor listener. Likes to overspeak you. Very condescending attitude. Has his office staff trained to be as indifferent as he is. Often critiques Mercy system colleagues.

Dr Holekamp is nothing short of a neuro-genius. My wife had a 2 part surgery to fix her scoliosis and degenerative disc disease. It was a major surgery. He did fantastic and so did she! NOW......he is NOT one that will sugar coat anything. He is very blunt and usually will not tell you anything you want to hear. BUT if you do what he says you will be successful!! He may tell I'm not doing your surgery until you lose 20 or 30 lbs. That's not something people want to hear bit if he says it's necessary, it is.
