I am an architect with 25 years of experience, and pains me to see what these landscape architects did to our complex, Morningside Gardens. They detailed the whole project with these enormous smooth-concrete curbs that stick out of the landscaping like the Great Wall of China, thousands of feet of it. Coupled with white concrete walkways EVERYWHERE, our walkways now look like a parking lot or a driveway in suburban NJ. What happened to the minimalist steel curbs that blend with the landscaping? What is worst, they are planing to replace the ramp-stairs - that our elderly and people with carts used with great success - with a 3-step + landing ... read more
