Paul came out and milled some eucalypt limbs that had come down. I found him to be professional, hard working, and friendly. He talked me through the cuts and options to optimise plank yield and grain patterns, and did a fantastic job with some awkwardly shaped logs. The final yield was better than I'd hoped, and I also unexpectedly ended up with a beautiful slab that I'm hoping to turn into a coffee table, so that was a nice bonus. Highly recommended
We were in the market for a pergola after our old oregon one rotted out, after 15 years. Paul's use of cypress as a locally-sourced, sustainable, naturally rot-resistant timber caught our attention. It was a pleasure to have Paul Finbar of Terra Organica mill a beautiful eucalyptus tree that will soon be turned into a beautiful dining table after seasoning. Paul was responsive, gave great advice and the whole milling process setup was fun to watch. The milled tree turned dining table will stand exactly where the tree once stood, gathering people around it, just as the tree once gathered people, flora and fauna under its canopy.
I called Paul from Terra Organica out to our residential property in Bellevue Heights after we had some big storms in the Adelaide Hills. Being somewhat of a furniture maker myself and undergoing a house renovation at the time I was eager to salvage as much of this beautiful grey box as possible for later. On-site Paul was quick to determine the best approach to milling these logs for maximum yield and stable air drying.
