The 32 historic cottages on a breathtaking 17-acre property feature tennis and pickle ball courts, sandy beach with lifeguard, day camp for children, laundry facility, on-site maintenance staff and plenty of community activities. 2 and 3 bedroom cottages all with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and screened in porches. One week minimum rentals. Dog friendly.

Arrived at my sparkling clean cottage, and yes the cleaning staff really goes above and beyond! We are grateful for the hard working owners and grounds staff in providing this destination paradise. It's truly a whole different world here in TA. Come visit!!!
Terra Alta is a magical and timeless place to get away to for the summer. I'm lucky to have grown up spending my vacations here with my parents and grandparents, but realized a few years ago that it's also perfectly suited to visit for a week or two with three of my best friends. I returned to Terra Alta after some time away, and it was as magical and welcoming as ever. It’s a gorgeous spot on Schroon Lake with big lake access, it’s a beautiful spot in the woods, it’s a terrific community of families, it’s a return to an easy, relaxed AND fun time away from the world. We came back to Terra Alta after a 25 year hiatus to celebrate a 90th birthday. The cottages were updated but everything else was the same: the gorgeous Adirondack mountain scenery, the magnificent lake, the charming little town, the fresh, clean air. We fell back in time to a simpler, natural and relaxed time that we had missed. Thank you Terra Alta for remaining there all these years for us to experience again those precious times. .
