We employed the help of Terrence when purchasing our fist property, a condo. Terrance was negligent and failed to notice and let us know that the property was initially assigned as an ‘investment property’ and therefore would not allow us to qualify for the first time home buyers credit. We only found this out when we were invoiced. I was very upset and expressed this at which point Terrence threatened to end our contract and leave us without the legal documents days before closing. **UPDATE: interesting to note that Terence states that due to privilege issues, he isnt able to discuss our file YET he proceeds to state my full name as well as my partner’s full name. Let’s be clear, I did not provide nor was I asked for consent for this information to be disclosed. Furthermore, his response does not address any of my alarming concerns that I outlined - how could it be a reflection of our choices if our counsel was nowhere to be found and could not be contacted nor located.
