Tequila Express Cafe - best of Madison! Absolutely my favorite place to eat in Madison. Gotta love a place where you get get Gyros and Spanikopita, great pastas, the best burger in town, plus a chicken burrito that is really a "fajita burrito" - lots of meat and veggies, light on the heavy sauce. You can't go wrong with the specials, either, and the soup makes a meal by itself.
A must.... This is honestly the best restaurant in Madison! I eat there quite a bit. All of the dishes are delicious and served fresh, which may take some time, but is definitely worth it! The staff is all very pleasant. You should absolutely give it a try. Try the zangas (spelling?) for dessert. It is like a fried cheese cake burrito that has a caramel sauce....WONDERFUL!
Low key, good food Tequila Express is new to Madison and a good addition. It's not the cheapest Mexican/Latin restaurant, but it's one of the better ones. Lots of options for vegetarians. Clean too. I would recommend it.
Tequila Express - Great Food, Delighted We Tried It! Our family (my wife, two teenage daughters and I) took a side trip off I-20 on the way back to Atlanta from the North Carolina Coast. We spend a couple of hours in Madison shopping and looking around.
