In a recent trip to Tenterfield my partner became unwell. We attended emergency. The nursing staff were great my partner had pneumonia he was hospitalised fir 3 days looked after very well. Then i became unwell and attended the emergency department. I had influenza A asthma and vocal chord disfunction i cannot thank the doctor on call and the nursing staff fir their care and efficiency. I was evacuated by helicopter to Lismore Base hospital . Where i spent a week recovering. Thankyou all so much . Regards Robyn and Martin .
It is meant to have a 24 hour emergency. The doctor was not on-site and they would not come in. I'm not sure what condition would entice them to actually attend in person, can only assume near death. The standard of care that was provided was well below acceptable. If you're passing through and need any form of healthcare, keep driving. If you live there, I'm very sorry for the level of healthcare available to you. Maybe there's a good local vet, I'd try there first.

Had diarrhoea when travelling. Was triaged immediately and treated by doctor in about half an hour on Sunday morning 29th December 2024. Given more Gastro-Stop capsules and antibiotics. One very appreciative traveller!
Last week i spent two days in hospital. Staff were amazing. Doctor was great also. I felt very well cared for . Wish we could get a permanent doctor but for some reason doctors dont want to work in our cute hospital in our beautiful town. Thank you for your care.
