The staff is really nice and the service is good. The sushi is fine, but a bit pricey. The atmosphere is a bit on the cafeteria side in the big area and the smaller area near the sushi bar is a little more cozy, but so close to the sushi chefs and the kitchen that it takes away from the coziness. Portion size is average to small. Nothing really stands out as great nor terrible.
I have been to more Japanese restaurants in the United States than I can begin to count, and I say without hesitation that Miyako is one of my all-time favorites. The sushi is just as beautiful as it is delicious. The fish is always bright, fresh, and tasty. The selection is an absolute cornucopia of traditional and creative rolls. Miyako's is the place we compare everyone else's sushi to. My favorite is the Dragon Roll, but everything we have tried we have enjoyed. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is always welcoming. I recommend this place over and over again!!!
