Lost our reservation, double booked us, then asked for more money. We were traveling on a houseboat and booked a riverside cabin so that our friend (with a 14-month-old) could come and stay next to the boat while still having easy access to showers, laundry etc. When we got out there it turned out there was someone in the cabin already. After some confusion the owner Chuck told us to drive up the hill to a different cabin in the woods. This was a very nice getaway. Very peaceful and beautiful right by the lake. Staff and owner are very nice.
Exceptional Stay with Truly Top-Notch Service! Our mountain cabin stay was everything we hoped for and more—but what truly set it apart was the outstanding customer service. Chuck answered any and all questions promptly, and anything we needed, he took care of without hesitation. Every morning, a fresh stack of firewood to us. My boyfriend & I loved staying here this past weekend!! It was the perfect way to disconnect from our phones & tune in more with nature & to spend quality time with one another on the river :) the property owner is very nice & helpful & made us feel at home even upon arrival!! Despite it raining for part of our trip, we had the most incredible time & the view was still exemplary. My daughter and I rented kayaks for the day. What an absolute gorgeous setting! Stunning. Chuck was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The road to get there is one of my favorite drives. The wildlife you see, the homes, the rocks, the vegetation. I’d go back just for the drive to get there. I will be returning this weekend with my son, and I can’t wait for him to meet Chuck. What a very gracious host.
