My experience with Housed has been disgusting. On July 1st, I called Housed Thornleigh excited to join and the lady on the phone - Judith, gave me a trial deal - $2 for 2 weeks + $30 for the digital tag. She made it very clear to me that I wouldn’t be charged till I enter the gym. Now why is it that I got charged when I changed my start date to July 8th? Mind you I haven’t stepped foot into this gym. I had a terrible experience with Housed Gym. I signed up for what was advertised as a $2, 2-week trial. Before the trial ended, I contacted them and requested to cancel, yet they still continued charging me. Instead of ending my trial as requested, I was hit with $171.40 in fees, despite making it clear that I did not want to proceed with a membership. Make the signing up progress very confusing. Take money out of your credit card without warning $100 after an apparent '$2 for 2 weeks' and blaming needing a tag is ridiculous. Why would you need a tag to go to a gym you are trialling? Smell inside the gym itself smells like feet and the lack of equipment makes you want to look elsewhere, which I did and signed up to World Gym Parramatta. Many other gyms in the area for better value I would go for over this gym.
