Tempura Matsui is amazing! Authentic Japanese tempura, fresh ingredients, and impeccable service. Perfect for a refined and delicious dining experience in New York.
Never thought tempuras could be so delicious. They are definitely masters of making amazing tempuras. All the other dishes were incredible as well. Excellent customer service. I’d definitely recommend this place!
This place is outstanding. Tempura is served as omakase and I didn't have too high of an expectation since I thought it would be a bunch of fried stuff. Tucked away by the entrance of a hotel, Tempura Matsui feels like a hidden gem. Once inside, the cozy, zen-like Japanese interior sets the perfect tone for the meal. It was an amazing omakase style dining as always with a wide variety of tempura dishes. If you like tempura, you must go. Even if you are ok with tempura, you still must go. Their tempura dishes are made at the open counter in front of you. It is thinly battered and not greasy. They also offer sake pairing option (really good pairing). The ambiance is authentic and warm with meticulous service. 🥰
