I met my Gardner there and became a regular there shortly after going there. Bought my first waterbed there . Always had the best selection of paraphernalia along with greeting cards, jewelry, rolling papers, chimes, bubble, lamps, lava lamps, all sorts of things, reminiscent of the late 60s and all of the 70s and 80s. They advertise the worlds oldest waterbed store
I haven't been there (Temple Slug) in ages. But I do remember just how cool the store was...I've purchased alot of different stuff back in the day and it was alway's a very cool experience everytime I went there. I think it's definitely one of the coolest spots in all of KC. It says they are temporarily closed on the website, I hope they won't go out of business or anything. Temple Slug is awesome.
This is a Kansas City Icon. Always stocked with cool fix you yin yang things and of course futons. The real futons btw not the ones that compact down to a blanket. When will you guys be reopening? Looking forward to seeing what's new. Thanks and stay cool.
Awesome place to explore with lots of different creations. John was super nice and helpful too!
