My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic meal at Tellers 1872. Wife raved about her fillet. My ribeye was one of the best I’ve had. Service impeccable. Ambience intimate and refined. Prices reasonable in comparison to a big city. Great spot and I can’t wait to pass through Great Bend again.
The best of Great Bend! We dined at Tellers when dropping our son off at Barton. Lacey took care of us wonderfully. The appetizers we had were terrific (Arancini, Crab Cakes, and Tater Kegs). We were a late last-minute seating so we didn’t get to try some others that were sold out. Steaks were enjoyable as well! The margarita (pictured, possibly a seasonal special) was also a crowd pleaser! The unique ambiance feels comfortable and welcoming. We recommend advance reservations.
Everything was excellent! Can definitely tell the difference of food being made from scratch and on site vs. pre-prepared food from the big food service companies! Nicely done Joe and staff
Let me start out with this “Best steak I’ve had in years” and I consider myself a connoisseur of steak, especially filets. The slight sear/crust on the outside was so flavorful and the inside was perfectly cooked and so tender. What an unexpected surprise in this small midwestern town. I was on a business trip with 3 other colleagues some from Chicago to Oklahoma and we are all blown away!
This restaurant is a gem. The space is gorgeous and intimate, the service was just the right level of attentive and friendly. I heard our server remembering the drinks of other diners who had clearly been in before (it was our first time), so it is the kind of place where your preferences will be noted. The food was amazing. I had the salmon special, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. My father had the 8 oz filet, and he talked the entire evening and into the next day about how it was the best filet he'd ever had.... read more
