Stopped in at Tekarra Lodge on a weeknight after a long drive through the park and honestly wasn't expecting the dining room to be that full on a quiet Tuesday. The elk tenderloin was cooked perfectly and the view of the Athabasca River valley through the big windows made the wait for our table totally worth it. After all the anticipation, the food left me feeling let down as it didn’t taste fresh.
Stopped in at Tekarra Lodge on Saturday afternoon while road tripping through from Ontario and honestly it was one of the best meals we had in Jasper. We sat on the patio looking out over the valley and the view alone was worth the drive, but the elk bourguignon was fantastic too. Stopped here for a quick bite with our dog on the patio a few days ago and they brought out a water bowl without us even asking. The elk medallions were honestly one of the best things I've had in Jasper, and the view of the mountains from the deck made the wait for a table totally worth it. Staff was friendly and didn't make us feel weird about having a dog tied up nearby, which isn't always the case at nicer places. Parking lot was a bit tight around 7pm but we still had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat.
Grabbed a table on the patio with a couple friends on a Saturday evening and the view of the mountains while the sun was going down made the whole trip worth it. The elk medallions were cooked perfectly and honestly some of the best game meat I've had in Jasper. Service was relaxed but attentive, our server kept checking in without ever rushing us through dinner. Parking right at the lodge was easy too, which made the whole night that much smoother after a long day of hiking.
