This is a hidden little treat here in Trinidad. If you haven't stopped in, you really need to. I had the Reuben sandwich and I was so good. I also suggest the fried green beans. Don't forget to wash it down with some of their lemonade
We had traveled through Trinidad before and gone to a sandwich shop that seems to have gone out of business. We were super bummed! So we decided to give this place a try. The cafe was very drab and felt like an old diner. The personality of our server was just as drab. A smile and a “welcome” goes a long way! Then I was immediately put off when she said that they have to charge for a cup of water due to the drought. $.50 for a cup of water to go with our $11 sandwich… really? Come on! One of the best rueben sandwiches I've ever had. Same for the sweet potato fries, some of the best. Our waitress was so nice and cut ours in half for sharing. We were driving so had to go light.
We come to Trinidad at least once a year and always return to Tees Me Treat Me. Had an excellent lunch with the wife yesterday. I wish I could speak to the whole menu, but I can't stop eating the Turkey Green Chili panini. I think they may have renamed it from last year, but it now has green chili aioli (holy spit, this is good). The wife had the Gouda, Apple & Ham panini and could only at half because it had a little "kick". We took the other half home and I had it for breakfast.
