I had submitted what this company asked and couldn’t make the phone interview due to being sick so I rescheduled and the lady said she’s canceling my phone interview due to 2 missed phone interviews. The first call they had the wrong number and the second call I was ill. But another agency wants to work with me for the same place so oh well their loss!!! Not the most trustworthy experience. I was offered a contract position at Okta and passed all the interviews. Initially, they reduced the rate in the offer, so I declined — then they brought the original rate back and sent over all the paperwork, including background checks. But just one day before my start date, they called and said they were dropping the hourly rate from $70 to $60 and changing the contract from corp-to-corp to T4 — which significantly reduced the overall value of the deal. I was contacted today on LinkedIn, similarly as many of the horrible reviews I've read here. I'll probably be ghosted, but nonetheless, I am listening to those wronged by these "recruiters" I'll pass on the opportunity. Bad reviews carry a lot of clout, as they are true examples from real people. I won't read 5 star reviews as they usually are a bunch of bullshit. Easy to read through them.
