The word “Grand” must also apply to Hatch River Expeditions for they are as exceptional and authentic as the canyon itself. We experienced a week long trip in true majestic vistas and whitewater rafting at its finest. Amazing hikes, waterfalls and more waterfalls! I booked this trip with a slight inclination of what to expect, but I never thought I would find friendship a new found love of river trips. The Grand Canyon is a magical place and I found myself shedding a couple tears when the trip was over. With the help of JP, Matt Spencer, Matt and Mykeala (and Taja), they guided us through with ease and always happy - I never felt scared or unsafe. They handled all situations like the consummate professionals that they are - 100 out of 10 experience!
What a special trip, with a professional and knowledgeable team! Food was fantastic as well. 5 stars all around.

I cannot say enough positives about Hatch. Their communication before and during the adventure were outstanding. I was concerned about smoke in the canyon so reached out to the office. Steve Hatch the owner, called me back within two hours and assuaged my concerns. The 9 day excursion through the Grans Canyon could not have been better. Mariah, our boatman, had the perfect combination of competence, concern, and conversation, relating the history of the canyon and her own expertise in wildlife biology.
