I loved meeting and working with Dr. Butchart. He referred me to a holistic dentist he had heard about being effective for TMJ issues (Dr Bronson in Cville) which was very helpful. He also helped me do tests, get to the root of some of my health issues, and supplement to effectively end those symptoms. I did feel limited that he couldn't order things from the pharmacy for me, and was very into supplementing versus finding whole foods solutions, so I did find a new functional medicine doctor in the end. Ultimately, I was very disappointed with my experience with Butchart. On my first visit that was supposed to be 90 minutes but lasted less than 60 minutes, he diagnosed me with a genetic heart defect after asking me if I had a family member die of a heart attack. I was told to take Folate for this genetic heart defect. While this was a red-flag for me, I was still hopeful.
