Transmission failure brought us to Ted and Todd's. Our replacement transmission requires a new propeller with lower pitch and Ted suggested using a diver instead of a haulout. The railway here is excellent but already occupied so a diver was worth a try. Unfortunately my prop would not come off, requiring probably heat or a grinder. The diver kindly would not charge for his time, I am very grateful as we are a humble nonprofit sailing 10 tons of aid supplies to Haiti. We had engine troubles on a Sunday and Ted was our hero. He let us tie up to the dock for the night and hauled us out the next day. Great family owned business with lots of experience. Ted was around all day to help when needed. We will definitely come back!
Went to Teds today for a haulout and some repairs. I had a wonderful experience!! They just couldn't do enough for me. Patrick, Milton, and DJ are real professionals. Ted and Peyton really are the best in the business. Looking forward to my next visit.
