Incredible place - excellent instruction and team atmosphere. Needs more XLs but what a great place to train
I chose to step back into the world of martial arts and grappling after a 15 year break and nearing 40 years old. I had an idea of what I was looking for in my new gym and what my short and long-term goals were/are. After a lot of research and emails with gyms in the area, I had a one-on-one meeting with Professor Al. Team Randori's staff and students were very welcoming and provided the perfect atmosphere for this 40+ year old grappler to feel young again. Professor Al and the staff teach the techniques with detail making sure you understand them and are always willing to answer questions. The other members are friendly, great to train with, and higher belts are always willing to offor support. Team Randori is a special place. The coaching staff has a lot of great experience and more importantly is great at actually teaching and sharing it. They’ve also made a point of curating an academy roster full of respectful and safe training partners. Professor Al is always looking for ways to improve the experience for students, and also just happens to be a real good guy. Whether you’ve never tried BJJ before or are a grizzled vet new to the area and looking for a gym, you won’t find better.
Fantastic, welcoming, school for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Great family atmosphere, that is supportive of everyone's goals, from the middle-age hobbyist to younger competitors. I've been training here for about a year and half (after a several year hiatus from another school), and now have two kids that do both BJJ and wrestling classes and it's been great to see them challenged and stretched beyond their comfort zones.
