Gravel trains drive 85 mph down US-10. I get that deadlines are tight, but do you really have to drive that fast?
Driver had a tight clearance envelope in which to maneuver a large truck (barn overheads, septic field, trees) ... he did fabulously with some spotting hand signals from me and my one man crew. The 4000psi concrete I needed for my car lift footings was top quality. Ordering over the phone was easy, and the rep double-checked my calculation of the cubic yardage that I needed. They got me. I needed 1 yard and told them if they had a load going out or coming in just let me know and I'll make sure i was home. They told me they could get me taken care of that afternoon, I said sure and when the driver got here I asked him if they send him out just for me and he said yep. I paid by credit card didn't ask the price (my fault) not knowing that I was going to get charged $160 for a small load, and I live 2.3 mi from them. So 1 yd of concrete was $382.
