Extremely disappointing experience. Earlier this morning, I received an official email from the restaurant asking me to confirm my reservation. I confirmed as requested and made my way over, only to find the doors locked and the restaurant completely closed. It is completely unacceptable to request reservation confirmation in the morning and then close the doors without any prior notice, update, or apology. Absolute disrespect for customers' time and terrible service. Very poor experience and definitely not recommended.
I made a booking a for a very special occasion for 11 people. We arrived only to be told that our reservation had been cancelled, and no one had even bothered to let us know in advance. I am incredibly disappointed with how this was handled. The person we were celebrating absolutely loves your Amsterdam restaurant, so this was especially upsetting. Dreadful experience. Had looked forward to this booking for months and when we arrived, were greeted by our waiter who didn't seem interested in being in work at all. We ordered starters and mains each and after ordering were informed some of the starters and one of the mains ordered weren't available. Fair enough, but surely the availability of certain dishes on a small menu should be highlighted when being seated? Absolutely astonished! The meatless excellent. Mo cooked our ‘well done’ steaks perfectly. Sam was a hospitable, welcoming, humble host. His service was superb. The side dishes were cooked to perfection- we cannot find a fault. We will be back.
One of the worst meals I have ever had. I truly don’t like to disparage a business because I know it is a challenging proposition to have a restaurant this day and age but the quality of my spouse’s rib eye for 39 pounds was absolutely disgusting. Asked for medium rare and was persuaded to order medium. That should have been the biggest tip off that the meal was going to be sub par.
