Normally my reviews are positive, so this was a disappointing visit. The attendant was overtly upset with me for showing up 10 minutes before close to do my banking. I had been driving all day when I got a notification that my business accounting software had rejected something about my account for some reason, so I could not do a bunch of transactions that were required this day, requiring me to have to get it fixed quickly at the bank, they open again Monday. I have consistently experienced extremely long lineups at this branch, particularly for teller services. There is also no dedicated front desk or customer service area for simple administrative requests, such as replacing or obtaining a new bank card, which adds unnecessary pressure to the teller line. On Saturdays, the lineup can extend outside the entrance, while only three tellers are working despite there being space for approximately seven. TD bank is holding my investments hostage because they require me to review my investments along with my partner, who is not easily available. I only want to withdraw my children tuition money from their RESP and they will not allow it. Never use TD for investments. Edit to the response. There is nothing to discuss. Your bank is not allowing me to access my own money after multiple attempt. Nothing short of allowing my access to my RESP without a questionair about my investments will be acceptable.
Absolutely awful experience. I went to this branch to open an estate account for my son. Given the circumstances, I expected the process to be handled with a reasonable level of care, competence and sensitivity. Unfortunately, it was fumbled from the start. I was initially assigned to a junior employee who openly admitted they had never handled an estate before.
