I think it's time for me to switch to a new bank. TD setup a business account that was charging me $125 a month in fees! I went into the branch today to close that account. The employee asked me "why do you have an account that costs that much" I told her I don't know it's the one the TD phone advisor setup for me over the phone. It has been one headache after the other with TD. I am busy running a business and I have to deal with this nonsense. How do these managers get jobs with the banks when they don't even know basic banking and investment terminology? The manager of the bank Christine tried to help move a transaction that was stuck with one of the jr investment advisors at the branch and she didn't even know what a private placement was even after an explanation. Grade 11 or 12 curriculum. Where do they source these managers?
The issue remained within regular processing timelines.
With the exception of the lady who manages the front end who is great at her job! Most of the other employees here have no clue what they are doing. On top of that, they give clients the wrong information all the time. I was told one thing about my account by one employee. Then, I was told something completely different about the same account by another employee. Some of the employees here really need better training from TD.
