Beautiful as ever the water looked Emerald green
They're closed for the season but will be opening back up in spring for the boat tours but it's just a beautiful place to go walk around and look at the river and nature.
This company was founded in 1906, which seems to be when they last brewed a fresh pot of coffee for guests. With hospitality as warm as the DMV and a tour that feels like an escape room, you’re better off skipping this for a simple stroll in the nearby beautiful state park.
The river had long stretches with no bluffs, but was still pretty. The tour guide was young and sounded bored. Her script was memorized and lacked any enthusiasm. We had hoped to see more bluffs and the Girl Scouts who were allowed to run around on board were distracting.
We went up the river for 20 minutes, turned around and went down the river for 20 minutes, turned around and went up the river for 20 minutes, turned around and went down the river for 20 minutes. Really, you didn’t know the water was to low to go farther?
