Turned away after driving over an hour to our scheduled appt at the Raleigh location. Scheduled one week ago for today at 8am and chose this location as it was the soonest available and the need was urgent, but we live an hour away. Arrived and they couldn't find my grandmother in their system. Turns out the person we spoke to last week never actually scheduled us. I have been coming to Taylor Retina at least twice yearly with my husband who has macular degeneration for several years. While the Rocky Mount staff are courteous and pleasant, the overall experience leaves MUCH to be desired. Starting with the lack of parking availability to the time it takes to actually see a doctor. Parking is nonexistent. Adequate seating nonexistent and respect for the patients time is nonexistent! Poor guidance as to next steps in an emergency situation. Despite showing clear signs of the need for immediate hospitalization, Dr. Clark did not advise us correctly, or provide any direction as to how to proceed with this very serious issue.
I had my initial consult with Taylor Retina this morning. Upon entering the practice, i was greeted by the check-in associate, Ms. Katoya. Ms. Katoya was extremely friendly and helped me get everything done that i needed to do for my visit. Ms. Ashley performed the needed scans of my eye.
